'AMT Coffee's switch in 2004 to 100% Fairtrade coffee across all their outlets was a pioneering move, which had a very positive impact for the public and for the farmers. AMT Coffee's customer feedback forms triggered the switch, which increased Fairtrade coffee sales in the UK coffee bar sector by an estimated 30% at that time. Today AMT Coffee continues to demonstrate its commitment by offering an increasing range of Fairtrade refreshments such as teas, juices and snacks and by championing Fairtrade initiatives.
Now selling more than 240,000 cups of Fairtrade coffee weekly, AMT is opening doors to a brighter future for coffee farmers and their families in Latin America. We hope that their commitment will encourage other companies to do the same.'

Back in 2004, AMT Coffee became the first national coffee company to use 100% Organic milk and Fairtrade tea and coffee in their drinks. This pioneering move was made at customer request.
